2022 Chrysler Pacifica Interior, Price, Colors – Crossovers are all the rage in America, but a minivan is the best family vehicle. The 2022 Chrysler Pacifica is a top-quality Chrysler vehicle. The sleekly designed family car has been a success since its introduction for the 2021 model year. But, for 2022, Chrysler’s most famous people mover is getting even more impressive with the launch of the AWD Launch Edition.
2022 Chrysler Pacifica Redesign
The 2022 Chrysler Pacifica looks excellent from all angles, beginning with the new, sharper front fascia. It houses two aggressive-looking lower intakes and lower air dams. The Pacifica is a worthy competitor to the Honda Odyssey and makes it look like the official vehicle of retirement villages worldwide. Unfortunately, the sleek side profile of the Pacifica leads to a rear end that isn’t as exciting but wraps up the entire package nicely.
The base model comes standard with 17-inch alloy wheels, a power liftgate, a power sliding door, new projector LED headlights, active shutters, and body-colored side mirrors. In addition, many appearance improvements are available, such as bright door handles, chrome roof racks, and a premium rear fascia. Pinnacle wheels can reach 20 inches in diameter. As a result, the Pacifica looks better than the Toyota Sienna and Honda Odyssey.
The Pacifica is a pioneer in minivan design, layout, and construction. It has a fit and finish that exceeds the class average. This is a remarkable feat considering all the Japanese competitors. In addition, it has an interior that is functional over formal and does not pretend to imitate a traditional sedan. Instead, it features a central dash with raised and angled controls, making it easier for front passengers and drivers to interact.
The standard interior features include three-zone automatic climate control with rear air conditioning, heating, an auto-dimming rearview, and a universal garage door opener. Other handy features include illuminated vanity mirrors and a locking glovebox. Premium touches include a heated leather steering column, unique interior accents, a tri-pane panoramic solar sunroof, rear windows shades, heated seats, and mats.
The infotainment system is one of the best tools in combating road trip boredom. But, unfortunately, minivans are often designed to transport a lot of people, especially infants. The good news is that Chrysler’s Uconnect 5 infotainment software is among the most advanced in the industry, making it a joy to interact with Pacifica’s system. No more unreliable touch-sensitive controls. Instead, old-fashioned switches and dials are in their place.
All models come standard with a 10.1-inch touchscreen screen. It also has an integrated voice-command system that includes Bluetooth streaming, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto integration, Aux, and USB ports. There is also a 1-year All Access subscription for SiriusXM satellite radio. The standard six-speaker system is used to channel sound. It sounds good in the front but loses its punchiness as the speaker array moves backward.
Limited benefits of an upgraded system that includes navigation, 4G LTE Wi-Fi connectivity, a trial subscription for SiriusXM Guardian Connected Services, and a 13-speaker Alpine sound system. The Pinnacle also consists of the Uconnect Theater system that provides seatback video screens with wireless headphones, HDMI ports, and a premium Harman Kardon sound system with 19 speakers.
2022 Chrysler Pacifica Engine
The Pacifica’s drivetrain is simple. It has a 3.6-liter naturally-aspirated V6 engine in its front. This is connected to a 9-speed automatic sending power from the Touring and Touring L front wheels to all the Limited or Pinnacle wheels. Multi-point fuel injection with 24 valves and 287 horsepower, the V6 unit produces 262 lb-ft and 287 hp at an average of 4,000 rpm.
This means that the Pacifica is best at mid-to-high rpm, where it pulls solid and clean all the way past 6,600 pm. Although the nine-speed automatic transmission in the Pacifica isn’t our favorite, it can sometimes stutter or be confused at lower speeds. However, once you start driving, the shifts are smooth and provide a pleasant experience. Most drivers will find the combination of engine/gearbox sufficient.
2022 Chrysler Pacifica Price and Release Date
The 2022 Chrysler Pacifica’s affordable price is one of its most attractive features, especially in the base version. The MSRP for the Touring model is only $35,195. This is a reasonable price for such a large car. The Touring L starts at $38,495, and the Limited AWD will set you back $48,390. Pinnacle AWD is priced at $53,390. The Honda Odyssey starts at $32,090 in the base trim and goes up to $47.820 for Elite models. The all-hybrid Toyota Sienna begins from $34,460, rising up to $50,460 for Platinum AWD models.
